About Us
Founded in 2017 on the site of the former world-famous Clarke Rhododendron Nursery, Willapa Bay Heritage Farm (WBHF) is a nine-acre farm education demonstration project nurturing sustainable living, animal welfare, and organic farming practices. Located on the banks of the most pristine estuary in the United States, WBHF is home to goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, ferrets, koi, rabbits, dogs and cats. We sell and teach about a variety of farm products including organic eggs, herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Currently developing a learning curriculum for 4H and Future Farmers of America students, our intent is to become a “farm-to-table” venue for non-profit fundraisers with our ultimate goal being to grant the farm to the community in perpetuity through our non-profit foundation. We aspire to create and nurture a calm, healing environment for our animals, customers, volunteers, staff, and residents with respect for diversity and beauty.
Practices
All our cheeses are made from pasteurized goat milk from our farm. We use a delicate enzyme called Fromagina, which has a creamy, velvety texture with a consistency between a marscopone and a cream cheese. Spreadable and delectable, use in your favorite charceuterie tray, in a salad, on vegetables or on a cracker.
